The lightning, in my mind,
In a lone body,
With a remarkable past behind,
And in front a future cloudy,
Flashes far across the path
Between the past and the future
To take a bath
In the beaming face of Nature;
Then the thunder, of my kind,
In a cool body,
With a remarkable find
And a surprising study
Roars all over
Between the heaven and the earth
To give birth to an hour
To rise above Death and Birth.
In a lone body,
With a remarkable past behind,
And in front a future cloudy,
Flashes far across the path
Between the past and the future
To take a bath
In the beaming face of Nature;
Then the thunder, of my kind,
In a cool body,
With a remarkable find
And a surprising study
Roars all over
Between the heaven and the earth
To give birth to an hour
To rise above Death and Birth.
